JOIN US for our second annual San Diego Vegan Festival on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11am to 6pm at the County of San Diego Waterfront Park (1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101). This FREE vegan party is a celebration of the vegan lifestyle through food, drinks, goods, information and more! With free admission, this event is open and inviting for vegans and vegan-curious folks alike.

2:00 p.m.  —  Encouraging Veganism through Vegan Recipes

Meet your speakers -- Jennifer Lee from San Diego House Rabbit Society, Karin Annell from The Animal Pad, Lindsay Snook from Feral Cat Coalition and East County Animal Rescue, and Teri Crutchfield from Saving Animals and Healing Hearts. Discussion is moderated by Terry Hagio.

  • Entrance is free!
  • This event is family friendly, although music may be loud.
  • This venue is ADA accessible. If there is anything Vegan in San Diego can do to be of assistance, please feel free to reach out via comment, direct message on Facebook or Instagram, or email at [email protected].
  • Pets are NOT allowed within 20 feet of open food vendors due to state law. Service animals are welcome.
  • The entire park is smoke free.
  • Most vendors accept cash and card.
  • Most vendors bring at least one gluten free menu item.
  • Please bring: reusable straws, utensils, reusable containers for to-go orders, reusable bags, water, chairs or blankets.
  • GETTING THERE
    • Carpooling, ride-sharing, bike riding and public transportation are encouraged.
    • TROLLEY: There is an MTS trolley stop accessible via Green and Blue line with the nearest stop one block from the park at the County Center/Little Italy stop.
    • TRAIN: There is a Pacific Surfliner train stop two blocks away at the Downtown San Diego Amtrak Station (1050 Kettner Blvd).
    • BUS: There is a bus stop at N Harbor Drive and Broadway, right next to the event.
    • PARKING in the surrounding area is metered. There is a paid parking structure at Kettner and Cedar that is $5 per hour or $15 for the full day. There is metered parking along Harbor Drive. For more parking options, view this parking map.
  • Prohibited items: weapons, confetti, glitter, smoking devices, cigarettes, cigars, alcohol, glass, artificial flower petals, bird seed, or uncooked rice. View additional park rules here. Additionally, please do not bring any outside food or animal products and byproducts to this event.
  • No soliciting or signature gathering will be allowed at this event.
