Donna Jean is an all-vegan, homestyle restaurant located in San Diego’s Balboa Park area at 2949 Fifth Ave., San Diego, CA 92103. Chef Roy brings many accolades with his restaurant, including “best vegan Mac n’ Cheese ever” from the Huffington Post, and the Los Angeles’ 2016 Best Vegan Chili which is no longer on the menu. In June 2017, the restaurant made a notable change to add pizza to its menu — a decision which many diners have raved about so far and earned them the title of Best Vegan Pizza in San Diego in 2017 in our annual Best Of Vegan In San Diego awards poll.

Donna Jean now offers a cold case at the register for patrons to purchase in-house made Scratch House cheese, and Donna Jean butter and sauces.
